Message from Sandy Bisnett, librarian.
"If for some reason they have the really old paper card and it is still active, they don’t need to get a new card. They may have been asked to renew their card which is a very easy process. They just call any branch or send me an email with their card number, current address and current phone number.
There is a way to get an account online right now. The application is at https://www.sjvls.org/services/self_reg_eng

HOW IS KANOPY FREE FOR ME?
Just as your library buys books to add to their collection for you to borrow, your library offers a variety of digital resources too - Kanopy is one of their more popular digital resources. Kanopy does not charge you because your library covers all associated costs, allowing you to watch for free with no ads.
WHAT ARE PLAY CREDITS AND HOW MANY DO I RECEIVE THROUGH MY LIBRARY?
Play credits are used to play videos on Kanopy. You will receive 10 play credits per month through the Fresno County Public Library. Each video will use 1 play credit each with the exception of those in Kanopy Kids. Once you press play on a video and a play credit has been used, you will have 3 days to view it as many times as you like without using another play credit. Your play credits will reset back to 10 on the 1st day of each month.
PLEASE NOTE that you will need to allocate at least 1-3 credits towards watching the monthly Fresno Jewish Film Series film.
CAN MORE THAN ONE MEMBER IN A HOUSEHOLD SIGN UP?
Yes, a Kanopy account is linked to your personal library card. So, if more than one member in a household have library cards, you can sign up for an account.

HOW DO I SIGN UP TO RECEIVE ALL OF FJFS EMAILS?
I AM ON YOUR EMAIL LIST, WHY AM I NOT RECEIVING YOUR EMAILS?
First, check your spam email folder. If it is there, you most likely have not added our email address to your contact list. This is sometimes called "whitelisting" an email address. Do this and it should fix the problem.
Other reasons may be explained with the following information.
Our email vendor is Mailchimp. They cannot predict whether or not an email will get through the server of your email vendor.
Different internet service providers (ISPs) bounce email messages based on their own rating systems and definitions. Mailchimp divides undeliverable emails into two categories.
Soft Bounce and Hard Bounce. Both of these are rare in our case.
These are some of the common reasons:
Mailbox is full (over quota).
Mailbox is not configured correctly.
Mailbox is inactive.
Recipient email server is down or offline.
Email cannot be relayed between email servers.
Email cannot be relayed for unknown reasons.
A hard bounce indicates a permanent reason an email cannot be delivered. In most cases, bounced email addresses are cleaned from your audience automatically and immediately. Cleaned addresses will be excluded from all future campaign sends. Here are some common reasons an email may hard bounce.
Recipient email address doesn't exist.
Recipient email server has completely blocked delivery.
